Introducing the Website Observability Summary (Dashboard Widget)

We’ve added a new Website Observability Summary widget to the WordPress dashboard.

This daily summary gives you a clear, human-readable overview of what actually happened on your website in the last 24 hours — without digging through logs, metrics, or alerts.

What the summary shows

Each day, the widget analyzes signals collected by WPMissionControl, including:

• Uptime and availability
• Response time and performance changes
• SSL and domain validity
• Website health and integrity checks
• Core Web Vitals trends
• Recent errors (AJAX, REST API, cron, configuration)

Instead of raw data, you get context:

• What changed
• What stayed stable
• Whether anything needs attention

And just as importantly — when nothing significant happened, you’ll see that too.

Why we built this

Most monitoring tools focus on alerts and charts. That’s useful when something breaks — but on most days, site owners are left wondering:

“Did anything happen that I should know about?”

The Observability Summary answers that question directly.

It closes the loop:

• monitoring ran
• signals were evaluated
• the outcome is known

This reduces background uncertainty and removes the need to “just check” multiple tools.

Designed to be read, not managed

The summary is:

• generated automatically
• updated daily
• intentionally calm and factual

There are no actions required and no constant configuration. If attention is needed, it’s clearly stated. If not, you get confirmation that your site remains stable.

Availability

The Website Observability Summary is available on Plus plans and can be enabled from the WPMissionControl settings page in WordPress.

Once enabled, it appears directly on your dashboard — where it’s easiest to glance at and hardest to ignore.
